Turning pain into power, and transforming lives of acid attack survivors across India.
Chhanv Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation in India working for the rehabilitation of acid attack survivors. Founded in 2013 by Alok Dixit and Ashish Shukla, we began as the "Stop Acid Attacks" campaign to raise awareness about acid violence.
When we started our journey, we discovered that acid attack survivors faced severe discrimination in jobs, education, and even in seeking justice. This realization led us to transform our campaign into a registered organization focused on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Medical assistance, legal help, education support, and employment opportunities.
Sheroes Hangout Cafés in Agra, Lucknow, and Noida employ survivors.
Our vision guides everything we do as we work towards a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Swift justice, fair compensation, and complete rehabilitation for survivors.
Holistic rehabilitation addressing physical, emotional, and economic needs.
Raising awareness about acid violence and challenging harmful norms.
Access to dignified employment and economic independence.
"We envision an India where acid is never used as a weapon, where survivors are empowered to lead dignified, independent lives, and where society embraces them with respect and equal opportunity."
